Sierra Nevada Hotel

The project involves the aesthetic renovation and updating of a hotel complex originally built in the 1990s, located in a privileged geographic enclave of Sierra Nevada. Its strategic location places it right in the middle of Plaza de Andalucía while simultaneously facing Granada, granting uninterrupted panoramic views of the valley. Since the property is already well-dimensioned and correctly distributed without functional issues, the architectural intervention does not alter its layout, focusing instead on addressing its spatial and decorative obsolescence to adapt it to its high-mountain context.

The interior design concept takes on the challenge of interpreting the character and aesthetic of high mountains through a sophisticated and contemporary lens. Alongside the visual image renewal, the proposal upgrades the hotel's program by incorporating wellness services and amenities it previously lacked. These new technical features include an outdoor spa equipped with a heated swimming pool and sauna cabins, as well as a ground-floor café-bar directly linked to outdoor viewing terraces overlooking the natural landscape.

Due to the constraints of winter tourism activity, the construction scheduling is methodologically structured as a phased intervention. This technical planning strategy allows the complex to remain fully operational and serve guests throughout the peak winter season, concentrating the physical execution and construction phases exclusively during the summer months when the hotel remains closed to the public.
