Costa Ballena Hotel

The project involves the master planning and design of a large hotel and leisure complex in the municipality of Rota, located on the coast of Cádiz. The ensemble enjoys a privileged location next to a golf course and features direct access to the "Mobi Beach Club" on the beachfront, a space equipped with a restaurant area, barbecues, and a swimming pool.

The site layout strategy takes advantage of the large plot by arranging the built blocks perimetrally to free up the center. In this way, the building volumes form two large arches facing southwest and northeast, with each arch dedicated to a distinct residential typology: one sector for hotel residences/condominiums and the other for a standard hotel. Both built arches are formally connected and related through a large central landscaped area with swimming pools, which connects directly with the views of the adjoining golf course. The complex adds an extra garden area equipped with paddle tennis courts and a private pool.

Regarding the interior design, the proposal avoids the aesthetic codes of conventional urban or coastal frontline developments. Instead, the interior spaces are inspired by a tropical environment, characterized by a fresh atmosphere and an exuberant presence of vegetation that qualifies all the social and relationship areas.
