Strugal

Our main aim with this project is to update and transform the corporate image of the Strugal offices. The required spaces are distributed across two different functional levels: the ground floor houses the main access, the reception, the showroom exhibition areas, the dining room, and the training room, while the first floor is completely dedicated to the corporate office area.

The most remarkable feature of the proposal consists of adapting the administrative spaces into a completely new working model, more open, collaborative, and participating. To achieve this, the architectural intervention focuses on the compartmentation of the property, removing existing partition walls and false ceilings. Instead, more permeable partition solutions are introduced, allowing the work spots to be distributed around one unique open central space that turns into the main meeting point and relationship area for the staff.

Regarding the materiality, the project proposes the replacement and enhancement of coatings and interior finishes, working with natural materials that contrast intentionally with the coldness of the existing metal structure. To provide spatial warmth, oak wood is utilized for both custom furniture and vertical cladding. Furthermore, the environmental and acoustic comfort over the workspaces is resolved using canvas slats suspended from the ceiling, complemented by the insertion of interior vegetation that provides freshness to the entire office complex.
