Maquiavelo

The project is located on a plot with a pronounced slope next to a riverbank. Despite being an iconic location within the city, the site lacks any previous relationship or interaction with both the surrounding urban fabric and the river course itself, counting only a large tree as a pre-existing plant witness. The architectural proposal seeks to reverse this isolation by formalizing a small built piece at the highest level of the plot. This volume configures a facade toward the city and defines a clearly recognizable entrance point, while the rest of the plot area is organized through different terraced levels intended to accommodate outdoor seating areas.

Landscaping and environmental qualification are paramount to the proposal. With the aim of enhancing the atmospheric conditions of the place, the design incorporates a pond equipped with spectacular ornamental lighting, as well as a stage specifically prepared for live musical performances. The project qualifies the different stay and social interaction zones by resorting to lightweight solutions such as pergolas and awnings, combined with a dense contribution of vegetation. These strategies act as passive mechanisms that ensure cool spaces permanently protected from direct solar radiation.
